Day 10: A song from one of your favourite albums. (what is the album?)

Born To Die is an amazing album. That is all.

Day 09: A childhood memory T.V. theme tune.

Like most little girls growing up in the U.S. in the 80s, nothing fascinated me more than watching a half hour long television show about a bunch of retired old women living in a beach house. To this day, I don't understand the phenomenon. I swear, the viewing audience had to be 90% children. Anyway, my favorite was Rose. I'm so hipster, I liked Betty White before she was cool.

Day 08: A song you used to like but now hate.

I CLEARLY remember loving the hell out of this song as a child. I didn't know what new wave was, but, in retrospect, I adored anything even remotely new wave. I am sorry. I am about to lose some Child Of The Eighties Cred here, but I just can not deal with this song now. I can't, I can't, I can't. And the worst thing about it is even THINKING of it will give me a major ear worm. I am trying, as we speak, to prepare myself for days and days of "Don't. . . don't you want me?" Just that part. Over and over again.

Day 06: A novelty song

This cracks me up every time. One time, I sang it outside of a gas station with two total strangers. Also, when I am mad, I am wont to throw things on the ground. Then I think to myself, "I threw it on the ground!" And without fail, I am no longer angry,

05: A song a friend likes but you don't.

Let me get one thing straight. I HATE PINK'S MUSIC!!! Soooo much. There is not a lot I can not tolerate, but Pink is one of my exceptions. Also, Avril. However, I don't know that any of my friends like Avril. I know for a fact that a couple of them like Pink. WHY??? WHY, friends?? Anyway, I am gonna assume one of them likes this song. It could very well be my least favorite song off all time. I HATE it! I HATE IT!!

Day 04: A song you can remember your parents listening to.

My parents have very different tastes in music. My dad is a Frank Zappa Obsessed Maniac, while my mom is more into The Beatles and opera. This is one of the bands they agree on. And they both love this particular song.

Day 03: A song that reminds you of a night out. (when was it and where?)

Okay, so back in my late teens and early twenties, I would listen to this song every time I was getting ready to go out. So it doesn't remind me of any one particular night, but an entire era. I thought I was very clever putting on my makeup and doing my hair while Mr. Bowie told me I was pretty. :)

Day 02: A song from the first album you ever bought. (What was the album?)

When I was thirteen, I woke up one morning and was getting ready for school, as always with MTV on in the background. This video came on, with this gorgeous redheaded girl singing about being crucified. I stopped what I was doing and stared until the video wqas over. It was the first time in my entire life that I had been so affected by a song that I HAD to have the cassette. I couldn't wait one more day, so when I got off school that day, I made my dad drive me to the local indie record store and spent my hard-earned allowance on Little Earthquakes by Tori Amos. She was a huge part of my life for many years. So, in honor of Tori, the first song I ever heard by her, off the first album I ever bought.

Day 01: A song you know all the lyrics to.

There are SO MANY songs I know all the lyrics to, I'm not sure where to even start. So I'll start with my current favorite.
I don't know what it is about this song that gets to me every time. It still has the ability to utterly captivate me no matter how many times I play it (which, when I am in my ca,r is often over and over again), and I always feel the need to sing along loudly.
It could just be because Amanda Palmer is a fucking goddess. It could be the intensity at the end. I don't know. I DO know that I love it.
